Delivery and Returns
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. Delivery
I currently deliver physical artwork to addresses within the United Kingdom only. Delivery charges are displayed at checkout. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, orders are normally dispatched within 3 working days. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and may vary depending on the delivery service and circumstances outside my control. Where tracking is available, tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
2. Packaging
Ceramic artwork is carefully packaged to reduce the risk of damage during transportation. Because ceramics are fragile, please take care when opening your parcel. Please retain the original packaging for a reasonable period after delivery in case the artwork needs to be returned.
3. Artwork damaged during delivery
Please inspect your artwork when it arrives. If your artwork appears to have been damaged during delivery, please contact me at leahjordanart@gmail.com as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, please provide:
-
your order number;
-
photographs of the artwork;
-
photographs of the packaging, including any visible damage; and
-
a brief description of what happened.
I may ask for photographs to help me understand the damage and deal with the delivery company or arrange an appropriate remedy. Please do not throw away the damaged artwork or packaging until I have advised you what to do, unless it is unsafe to keep. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
4. Cancelling an order
If you are a consumer purchasing artwork online, you generally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
For goods, the cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the day on which you, or someone you nominate to receive the goods, takes physical possession of the artwork.
If you wish to cancel your order, please email leahjordanart@gmail.com clearly stating that you wish to cancel and include your order number. You may use the following wording:
"I hereby give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the purchase of [description of artwork], order number [ORDER NUMBER]."
You do not have to use this wording. Any clear statement that you wish to cancel is sufficient.
5. Returning artwork
After telling me that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the artwork.
Please return the artwork securely packaged and, where possible, using the original packaging. Unless the artwork is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the artwork when exercising your statutory cancellation right. I recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of postage. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the artwork while it is in your possession. You may handle the artwork to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you would reasonably be able to do in a shop. If the artwork has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and this has resulted in a reduction in its value, I may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund where permitted by law.
6. Refunds
Where you validly cancel an order under the statutory cancellation right, I will refund the payments you made for the artwork and the standard delivery charge. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than the least expensive standard delivery option I offered, I am not required to refund the additional cost.
I will normally issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned artwork, or, where permitted by law, within 14 days of receiving evidence that you have returned it. Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method that you used to make the original purchase, unless we agree otherwise.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described artwork
Your statutory rights are separate from the voluntary cancellation rights described above. If your artwork is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of consumer law, please contact me. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Where you are entitled to reject faulty goods, I will cover reasonable return costs as required by law.
8. Handmade characteristics
Small variations in glaze, colour, texture, surface and form can occur in handmade ceramics. Where these characteristics are clearly apparent from the product description or are normal characteristics of the handmade process, they are not automatically defects. However, this does not affect your statutory rights where an artwork is genuinely faulty or does not conform to its description.
9. Bespoke or personalised artwork
If I offer bespoke or personalised artwork, I will provide separate information about the order before you purchase. Certain personalised or bespoke goods may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where permitted by law. If you are unsure whether an artwork qualifies, please contact me before placing your order.
